About
Welcome to the vibrant food scene of Medellín, where we introduce an exciting gem known as Five Star Burger and Hot’s. Nestled in the bustling neighborhood of Belén, on Cra. 81 #32E - 6, this eatery beckons with the promise of classic American-style burgers and hot dogs. As you step inside, you're greeted with a spacious and clean ambiance, setting the stage for a memorable culinary experience.
The moment you peruse their menu, a variety of options calls for attention, but it’s the namesake burger that stands out as a must-try. Five Star Burger and Hot’s prides itself on serving up juicy patties, perfectly seasoned fries, and an inviting selection of sauces. Each bite of the burger showcases a unique blend of flavors, complemented perfectly by their crispy fries—often described as “classic diner-style.” Patrons rave about the quality, with one customer enthusing that it’s among the best burgers they've had in Medellín. And for those looking to wash it down, the beer selection is thoughtfully curated to enhance your meal, featuring local brews like Club Columbia Rojo, which pairs delightfully with the rich flavors of their entrees.
However, while the food shines, it is worth noting the location's limitations. It sits on a main thoroughfare, serving as a transitional stop for those headed to the more famous Laureles neighborhood, which could hinder foot traffic. Despite this, diners continue returning, drawn by the combination of delectable food, reasonable prices, and a laid-back atmosphere often infused with classic rock music—creating an inviting backdrop for any casual gathering.
Customer feedback emphasizes the quality of service and the dedication to delivering excellent meals. Reviews from satisfied patrons reflect genuine love for the food and the modern yet comfortable setting. One guest commented on the artisan touch in the burger, while another highlighted the late-night hours, allowing for indulgence well into the evening.
In summary, Five Star Burger and Hot’s has crafted a unique identity in Medellín's fast-casual dining landscape. Its standout dishes and welcoming environment warrant a visit, even if its location could benefit from a more prominent spot. It’s a place that, with a little more visibility, can undoubtedly become a five-star fixture in your culinary adventures. Make sure to swing by and discover why it's quickly becoming a favorite among locals and tourists alike!
“ You are heaven to those who seek artesanal burgers!! ”
“ Fantastic, great food at reasonable prices, and great classic rock in the background. Have returned many times. ”
“ Omg! What a discover and close to my house! Definitely one of the best burger that I haver tried in Medellin. Highly recommended, excellent food, sauces and bread! Definitely coming back for more ”
“ Quite a nice modern space with great fries and pretty good burgers. My only problem with the burger is the meat has a bit of that Latin taste rather than the classic American taste you get at say Chef Burger. They have a cheeseburger, fries and drink combo for 15,500 pesos or the same but with ice cream and brownie dessert for 24,500. The dessert was worth getting. Also a plus for being open late til 11pm or midnight every night. ”
“ Súper ricas comidas y postre delicioso. The food was very tasty and also the deserts were extremely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant! ”
“ This is a quality burger place. I went a couple of years ago when they first opened and the service was a little better but in all the food and customer service is good compared to many places here in Medellin. The staff also has a general knowledge of English if you are not proficient in Spanish. The last time I went a few months ago then I caught them as they were opening as the customer service wasn't as good but to there defense they were probably busy opening. ”
“ Everyone is always looking for those five stars, so the irony of giving a restaurant with five stars in their name a four star rating is not lost on me. Honestly, for as good as the experience is, I kinda feel bad for this place. Let's see if we can build up some sympathy for them. Let's not bury the lead. It's the location that holds it back. For locals, or anyone who is visiting Medellín, you'll hear about the Laureles neighborhood at some point. Laureles is the second or third most popular neighborhood in the city. With that said, this place is on the way there. The restaurant sits on a main street that people drive to get from Belén to Laureles. In truth it need to be in Laureles because it serves classic American-style burgers and hot dogs, but it's just short on location. I've passed this place many times on my way to spend money in Laureles and always wondered why there doesn't seem to be a lot of people there. The exterior is nice. It's big. It's clean. So, what's the deal? I ordered the namesake burger, as I always do when a signature dish is available, and it was great. It came with fries that were also classic dinner-style, perfectly seasoned with what black people would call, Lawry's. They even had a better beer selection, which seems designed to compliment their food. It was the first time I tried a Club Columbia Rojo (Amber beer), and it was perfect with my burger. There's an entire sauce station, so help yourself to some more ketchup if needed, and the seating was very comfortable. So why 4 stars? At some point, burger places get good enough to offer medium well, or other temperatures of burgers, and they aren't there yet. Not to say they can't get there, but it's a standard question when you have the ability. Outside of the latter, I feel like the location is holding back a great burger spot. This place would make a killing smack dab in the middle of gringo central. In summary, check it out. ”
